The belt was heavy-duty and measured as described. 29 x 5/8 However, the belt is much stiffer than the original ( even taking into account age and wear ) This belt engaged the knives at all times so we couldn't even start the machine. I also ordered one from Chalmers Inc at the same time just in case. Chalmers fit and worked perfectly. It was stiff but was able to form into the oval needed to work properly rather than the perpetual circle of the other. For another purpose, I think this belt would be fine, but it doesn't replace #97133
