I like the wooden structure and the black nonskid sticker on it. It is a nice long board and suitable for beginners in my opinion. There is a handle hole on the right side of the board which is nicely done and its edges have been smoothened. This handle is really useful and I love it. Consider the non skid sticker cover on the board, not easy to carry otherwise. The handle hole is located considering the center of gravity of the board with the battery so it remains balanced while you carry it.The battery pack is a single bulk located towards the back wheel. At one side it has charging dock and at the other side it has the power button. The battery pack also has four LED's indicating the power level which is synced with the remote control indicator LED's. Be careful though, one has 4 and the other 3 and what they show are completely different. The Skateboard power doe not turn on automatically when you roll the motorized wheel. Some other boards are like that so I just wanted to indicate it.The power is slightly less than my other motorized skateboard however it is really enough for me as I live in a very flat area. It is still interesting to me though, my hoverboard is also rated 350W and it climbs a 10 degree slope like a bull. That is most probably because my hoverboard has motorized wheels on both sides but this beast has only one motorized wheel. It accelerates nicely and gradually and you do feel completely in control. The remote control works nice and it isn't big. It is easy to hold it even if your hands are small. The remote control has three battery indicator LED's for the skateboard. If three are on, it means 100% full, so, go! If two LED's are on, it is 50%, which means go back!. if it is only one LED on, that means the battery level of the board is 10%, so better walk guys. There are 3 speed levels you can choose from. Couldn't decide if the acceleration gets better in higher speed mode but the speed definitely does. The speed adjustment wheel increases the speed in 5-6 levels, it is not a complete gradual change. There is a brake mode and it is effective. it is great and from safety point it is very very useful....And, it has a reverse mode guys. I loved it. when you normally operate the skate board, there is a green blinking LED. when you press the reverse button, that LED starts blinking red and the skateboard starts operating backwards.Just one caution here: the reverse mode button works and changes direction of the motion even when you are riding. It doesn't brake and stop the motion unexpectedly but does start applying the amount of power you apply on the trigger towards the reverse direction. It is a nice and quality board which is suitable for beginners and I would recommend at this price point.Haha! Literally grinning ear to ear when I first pulled the throttle all the way. I've been lusting after an electric skateboard ever since I first laid eyes on one at the bike path on the beach. This is the real deal, as cool as it gets, man!Out of the box you charge it up with the included plug and adapter, green means go. Simple as that. Recharge took about 2 hours, directions said could be 3. Remote control was charged much quicker and I used the included micro USB. No throwing away batteries ?.First startup was a total breeze as well. Pairing was as easy as turning on the skateboard and pushing the small button on the remote near it's charging port. A quick functions test revealed it to be in proper working order.Of course I had to go outside and give it a test drive immediately. Having been skateboarding most of my childhood and experience with longboarding I had no trouble figuring out the mechanics. I put the remote to H (high speed) and throttled all the way forward after kicking once for a little starting momentum. Flat streets surrounding my neighborhood provided for smooth cruising and turning on the blacktop. Some small hills put it to the test power-wise and it struggled some, but that was expected. Going down hills I could tell the throttle wasn't providing much but the speed was decent and totally controlled. The big rubber (polyurethane?) wheels are decently firm yet supple enough to absorb small cracks in the pavement.I didn't tally the distance on my first outing or bring a tachometer to gauge the speed, but I cruised for about 20 minutes through the neighborhood and even gave each or my kiddos a whip around the block.By the time I wound things up the battery indicator on the remote said the board was at 10%. Checking the battery itself on the bottom of the board it showed two bars, so I am not sure if the remote had the best info. All in all, best purchase I've made this year. Get one. If you're on the fence or just interested, do it. Seriously fun.Oh yeah! The brakes... Be gentle and easy with it. Like a clutch on a manual transmission, you don't want to go overboard lol (literally).Bought this for my 16YO grandson and he is a beginner. Just got it a week ago and everything is fine; he loves it and had been riding it daily up and down the road. The one wheel with the motor does get super hot after about 20 minutes continous riding. Hoping that isn't an issue, but will edit this review if it becomes one.I loved this board. It worked great for about a month then just stopped working. I called and I gotta say customer service was great. They offered me a replacement but I ultimately went with a refund because I figured the new board would just break again. Great e-board but I just don’t think they last long. If I got what I had for the month it worked it be very happy with the purchase but I feel like they just break after a while. This is my first electric skateboard and I'm so loving it. The quality of the material it's made of is great and you can pretty much be sure that it will be with you for a long time. It came nicely packed and was ready to go with quick charging. It's not too heavy and has a nice handle to be carried anywhere very easily. The controller that comes with it is very light weighted as well and the controls are really very easy to understand and operate. I was able to operate it just fine with my first run. The battery is powerful as well and achieves really good speed and also single charge goes for a long run. The board control for direction is very easy as well, it nicely moves left and right while you are standing by tilting swiftly. The wheels are nice quality as well, and I don't expect those to deteriorate any time soon. I just love it and will recommend this to all. After ~1 month, the wheel hub motor locked and wouldn't work any more. The truck's rubber bushing is too soft and it makes the board a bit unstable. Not recommended if you don't have skateboard experience. The wheels' bearing are also not good and don't have a low friction.
